As the pioneering artist for this medium she has helped define the practice and processes of how this medium can be used as both an abstract and realistic mediums, and pushed the limits of the heat reactive plastic’s properties. Taking advantage of sciences breakthroughs in technology Claire uses the unique mediums abilities to aid in her sculptures construction and surreal designs and bring her aesthetic forms and conceptual ideas to life.
Claire graduated from Loughborough University, with a BA Hons in the Fine arts, Here throughout her practice and at her final year exhibition Claire gained recognition for her unique signature art style and won her first award. This award was for her desirable business skills and unique art abilities.
Then after entering her first competition after graduating, She won first prize at the signature art award where she was voted for by a panel of judged from the royal academy of arts, Magnum photo archive and the directors of degree art.

To create her Original One of a kind artworks, Claire uses a myriad of mediums and techniques, selecting those which best encapsulate her Ideas and suit the overall design of a piece.
The artist is professionally trained in many forms of Painting, illustration/drawing & sculpture (from stone carving to metal work ) and can craft artwork in a range of styles from intuitive abstracts to detailed technical drawings.
Clare’s most recognizable artworks to date are her white twisting plastic “polymorph” sculptures, which have won multiple awards for unique style and application of medium.
“The white twisty sculptures are created using a smart plastic with a low temperature melting point, which I heat up with various implements and methods before hand crafting, giving the artworks an organic and natural feel rather than a manufactured one.”
“I often start my sculptures with a certain structural idea in mind maybe from my sketchbooks or a particular concept or concern that I wish to address, I am capable of creating very detailed and exact pieces with this medium.
Sometimes during the process of sculpting some of my more abstract and organic flowing pieces, the heated medium takes on a life of its own and I guide its form intuitively into a aesthetically pleasing art piece.”
“The properties and nature of the medium is an integral part of the sculpting process, which informs the strange intrinsic biomorphic forms that make up my sculptures.”
Claire has visited been approached by the companies and manufactures of this medium and helped feedback to the creators what their smart medium is possible of achieving out side of its originally intended purpose.
“ I am often contacted via art groups, artists and even polymorph manufacturers and asked and even interviewed about my sculptures and the medium I use. I am always happy to share experiences and findings on working with the medium with others, sharing what I have found to be possible or not effective over the years whilst experimenting with colouration methods, techniques.”
Most of the artist’s organic Polymorph sculptures are personal abstract representations of the natural world at a microscopic level. Though Claire’s artworks take on a myriad of themes, from quantum physics, and the vast complex connections of the universe, to life and death, and to the hidden curious microscopic imagery of flora, fauna and the human mind.
“I am very passionate about art, science and nature, I often try to create one off pieces which try to bring these subjects together in a new and visually inspiring way.”
Claire has supported various charities with her artwork, donating pieces to raise money for various good causes and happy to be approached to work and collaborate with new projects.
